FIRST RESPONDERS ADAPT TO EVERY SITUATION.

TECH SOLUTIONS SHOULD TOO.

HALO technology is easy to use and versatile. HALO can be integrated seamlessly with a wide variety of situational awareness and sensing technologies including chemical, biological, nuclear, radiological, and explosive sensors, oxygen monitors,  temperature sensors, thermal imaging, radio, vital sign monitoring, and any data or information that is available on the internet or within accessible databases, such as floor plans, operational pre-plans, and criminal history. First responders operating in any tactical environment will be seamlessly connected with their commanders.

Although HALO is being initially implemented specifically for firefighters, many of the advantages of HALO will support other first responders. For instance, tactical law enforcement officers also operate in dynamic, limited information and immediatley dangerous to life and health environments. The HALO headset can be used with a tactical officer’s goggles or APR (air purifying respirator) mask. Tactical officers responding to an active shooter situation, terrorist attack, or hostage rescue crisis will benefit from HALO's hands-free wearable technology. HALO will help individual reponders and commanders assimilate and make sense of more information, resulting in safer and more successful operations.

HALO is built around the idea of constant evolution. We encourage emergency operators to share your best ideas with us. Our top-tier research and design team constantly seeks out new ways to advance our product, designing custom-built applications to suit your needs. Contact us with your ideas!

Here are some of the things HALO can do for you.

Vital Signs

VITAL SIGNS MONITORING

Connect HALO with other wearable technology, such as biometric tattoos or conventional monitors that can communicate via short-range Bluetooth with the HALO headset. The HALO network transmits back to command. Information on each wearer's heartrate, respiration, temperature, and stress will be presented as color-coded wellness icon in the command center display, so that commanders can tell at a glance when firefighters should be assisted or relieved. If a firefighter is injured or unacceptably stressed, both he and the command center receive an audible and visible alert. When commanders know instantly which teammembers need support, they can save precious time and lives.

AIR LEVEL ALERTS

This application connects to monitors on firefighters' self-contained breathing apparatus. Pressure remaining shows in the both the individual and the command center views, and the application will send alerts when air pressure reaches a pre-determined level and the firefighter must evacuate.

RADIATION MONITORING

Firefighters and other first responders who carry dosimeters to monitor for potentially hazardous radiation can now connect their equipment directly into the HALO heads up display, selecting either constant real-time display or audible and visual alerts at pre-determined levels.

FRIENDLY FINDER

For law enforcement officers entering a hostile situation, there are few details more important than who is shooting at you and who is not. Driven by a hope of dramatically reducing incidents of friendly fire by police officers, HALO's location application provides a solution. When arriving to the scene of a suspected active shooter scenario or other hostile incident, first responder simply activate the Friendly Finder feature. An overhead aerial map tracks the GPS position of all other friendlies in your area, represented by blue shield icons, giving the operator full situational awareness for firing direction, backup, and medical response.

IMAGE FEEDS

The HALO headset includes personal thermal imaging technology, which is accessible through the augmented reality display and from the command center.  Incident Commanders and otheroperational and command staff, will be able to monitor in real time images transmitted from thermal imaging cameras by firefighters inside a smoke-filled structure.

EMERGENCY EVACUATION ASSISTANCE

HALO's Breadcrumb Trail feature uses signal triangulation--down to the foot--to record the exact route that a first responder has taken since arriving at the incident scene. The application consistently monitors the operator's movements within a structure, presenting a dashed line to show the route taken. In a dynamic and dangerous environment where smoke distorts visibility and stress can impact focus, this feature allows a first responder to concentrate on the task at hand. HALO's Emergency Evacuation Assistance application--you worry about saving lives, we'll get you home safe.

REAL-TIME MISSION UPDATES

Whether you're a firefighter or in the midst of a firefight, HALO's Real-Time Mission Updates feature will provide first responders with actionable intelligence for mission-critical purposes. Updates on an outstanding warrant, new information about possible victims in a fire, and orders from scene commanders will not only be heard within the head unit but also appear in text on the heads up display.
